The Department implements general leadership and coordination of scientific-research activity and International relations of the teaching staff of the Institute. The scientific-research activity of the chairs and students scientific societies are one of the important directions of the activity of higher schools. In the first years of the Institutes activity much attention was paid to preparing the scientific staff. It was in this period that Umarov Њ, Nasriddinov I, Mirjalolova M, Sharopov D defended their doctoral thesis and Arabzoda N, Kabutov M , Ismati M, Komilov F.S defended their professorial thesis successfully who strengthened the scientific potential of the Institute.
In 2006 the Institute obtained a license AY №0000303 of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan for the activity of post –graduate courses of the following specialties:
01.01.02-Differential equalization;
05.13.18 Mathematical modeling;
08.00.13 Mathematical and Instrumental methods of economics
08.00.01 Theory of Economy
08.00.05 Economy and management of national economy
13 scholars study in full- time and part-time post graduate courses. Scientific journal PAYYOM has been publishing since 1998, in which the scientific articles of the teaching-staff of our Institute and the other higher schools of the Dushanbe-city are published.
17 copies of journal <<Payyom>> has been published in all. Annual teachers and students scientific-theoretical conferences have become traditional .These conferences are devoted to actual problems of the social and economical life of Tajikistan. Scientific-methodological seminars of scientists are held in our Institute constantly. Leading scientist-economists, specialists of various Ministries and their departments make reports on actual problems of development of Market Economy and entrepreneurship in Tajikistan.
Under the leadership of the chairs scientific students’ societies are becoming more active from year to year. . The members of the societies take active parts in Republican inter-institute students’ Olympiads, where our students M Qurbonova (2003), Y Jumaev (2002),B Jumaev (2004), F Pulodov (2004), N Fazlieva (2005),Q Karimov (2006-2007) were winners, They were awarded with Diplomas of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In 2006 S. Ibrogimova the second -year student of the faculty of Entrepreneurship and Management was awarded with a Diploma of the first degree in the competition of” Students and scientific-technical progress” for the best scientific research activity in the section of social sciences.
The Department has collaborations with the higher schools and faculties of Economy, arranges the participation of scientists in republican and international scientific conferences.
The Institute has signed a number of contracts in cooperation and exchange of experiences in training of the teaching staff with the Moscow University and Khujand State University recently.
